　　1971年，印度与巴基斯坦之间在东巴解放战争之间的紧张局势日益紧张，巴基斯坦海军在一个高级秘密任务中计划袭击印度雄伟级航空母舰INS Vikrant，以控制孟加拉湾的水域 。 他们派出一流的潜艇PNS Ghazi(加齐号/勇士号)，但被印度潜艇INS Karanj（S21）拦截。 随后发生水下攻击。
